BTEC
(Edexcel) is an abbreviation of the Business and Technology Education
Council. They are qualifications that are associated with actual jobs and
are related to a working environment. In 1996, University of London Examinations
& Assessment Council (ULEAC) and BTEC merged to form Edexcel which now
offer BTECs.
They are a helpful qualification if you want a mix of going out into the
workplace whilst at the same time, spending some time at college, and gaining
a qualification.
BTECs have been around for 25 years and their reputation is second to none.
They're recognised by schools, colleges, universities, employers and professional
bodies across the UK and in over 100 countries worldwide.
They offer natural progression along a vocational path, from and to academic
qualifications and university.
Many industry and professional bodies offer exemptions to successful BTEC
students for their own accredited qualifications. |
|
The
INTERNATIONAL THERAPY EXAMINATION COUNCIL (ITEC) is an awarding
body offering vocational qualifications in Complementary Therapy and Bodywork.
ITEC is recognised and regulated by the Qualifications and Curriculum
Authority (QCA), and the Department of Education and Employment. ITEC
is an independent examining body that offers impartiality and objectivity
in its examinations.
ITEC is recognised by insurance companies for professional liability insurance.
Successful
completion of this diploma course will provide you with the title of "Sports
Massage Therapist", and the knowledge and techniques needed
to give a treatment.
Practitioner
insurance is also available upon successful completion of the course and
as well as the ability to join the Complementary
and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). |
